S.Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University research work is conducted in the field of agricultural economics; crop production, agriculture, agrochemistry and soil science, plant protection; microbiology, veterinary medicine and animal husbandry; plant and animal biotechnology; land management, mechanization and electrification of agriculture, as well as humanitarian areas.
The University conducts fundamental and applied research, which is realized at the expense of state and out-of-budget sources.
In order to increase the scientific research efficiency, research institutes, centers, platforms and a development laboratory have been established at the University.

Карьера. 1979 г. — Кайрат Айтуганов начал работать оператором цеха перевозки Кокчетавского почтамта. 1984-1985 гг. — ассистент кафедры почвоведения Целиноградского сельхозинститута. 1987-1989 гг. — агроном, старший агроном, главный экономист совхоза Карабулакский Зерендинского р-йона Кокчетавской обл.
