Information for foreign students

International students are an integral part of the modern education system in Kazakhstan. They are the conductors of the Kazakh language and traditions of Kazakh culture in their countries. The presence of foreign students in our university demonstrates the relevance of our university, increases its rating. For more than 10 years, foreign students have been receiving education at the S. Seifullin KATU. The contingent of international students consists of students from 13 countries: Armenia, Afghanistan, Germany, Georgia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.

The university creates favorable conditions for obtaining a decent education: there is a scientific library, a faculty of public professions, various educational clubs, and sports sections. KATU named after S. Seifullin provides foreign students with places in the dormitory. Almost all student dormitories have gyms, hairdressers, sewing workshops, and payment terminals.

International students take an active part in the social and cultural life of the university. With the participation of international students, various events are held at the university: meetings, round tables, Olympiads, conferences and seminars.

To improve language skills, the university conducts courses, if necessary, in Kazakh, Russian, English and Chinese.

The main visa and migration rules for foreign citizens staying in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Upon arrival in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan (ROK), all foreign citizens, regardless of the reason, the presence or absence of a visa, must notify the Migration Police Department of their arrival within 3 working days. The notification is written by the inviting party, i.e. upon arrival to study, the university is engaged in this. It is necessary to inform the responsible person at your university in advance of your arrival.

Upon notification, a foreign citizen is given permission to stay in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan from 30 to 90 days from the day of crossing the border of the Republic of Kazakhstan, i.e. the day of arrival is considered. If there is a visa of the Republic of Kazakhstan, then a notification is given permission to stay in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the duration of the visa itself.

Foreign citizens from countries with which the Republic of Kazakhstan has a visa-free regime, who are going to stay in the Republic of Kazakhstan for more than 30-90 days, must go through the registration/registration process. Foreign citizens from countries with whom the Republic of Kazakhstan has a visa regime, who have arrived without a visa, and who are going to stay in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan for more than 30-90 days, must go through the visa application process. Both processes are carried out by the inviting party.
