On April 25-26, 2024, the National Cup of Student and School Entrepreneurship, Startups and Innovation “ENACTUS KAZAKHSTAN NATIONAL EXPO” was held at the EXPO Congress Center in Astana.

ENACTUS KAZAKHSTAN NATIONAL EXPO 2024 is a competition platform where the country’s best students present the results of their business projects aimed at improving the standard of living of the population in accordance with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.

54 teams from all over Kazakhstan took part: 10 did not qualify, and 44 teams passed.

Among the participants this year was a team from the Saken Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University. 21 students in our team competed in the World Cup League, reached the semi-finals and became the winners of the “ENACTUS KAZAKHSTAN NATIONAL EXPO 2024 WORLD CUP LEAGUE SEMI-FINALIST” cup!

KATRU had a project “EcoKorm”, dedicated to the problems of agriculture in Kazakhstan. Our team has found the optimal way to process off-grade potatoes. Using extrusion technology, the contestants developed a compound feed recipe whereby mixing grain components with low-grade potatoes produces an easily digestible compound feed with high nutritional value.

Enactus Kazakhstan helps students create and promote teams at universities across the country. Enactus students implement socio-economic projects that enable people to improve their lives and develop participants' entrepreneurial skills. Enactus faculty and business partners guide students and mentor teams.

The project originated in 1975 in the USA. In 1995, the project began to gain new momentum, and students from Central Asia, including Kazakhstan, began to take part in it. A few years later, a national organization was born in Central Asia.

To this day, the project serves its main goal - promoting leadership and entrepreneurship among students and youth. The project organizers believe that students who improve in entrepreneurship will create a better world around them.

Students present their projects in annual competitions that are judged by business leaders. Specifically, they are judged on how successfully they have used business concepts to improve the quality and standard of living of those in need. The winners of these national competitions are then invited to compete in the Enactus World Championship.
